Artist's statement

- I have been painting for the past eight years and have been involved in art my entire life. When I was a child I was intrigued by the textured ceiling in my bedroom and would stare at the surfaces until they revealed landscapes and images that would entertain and inspire. My work is an expression of those memories. The texture of the panels and the way the paint reveals images and emotions to different people excites and inspires me to paint. The layers of paint and the multiple images buried within the work will bring a multitude of thoughts, emotions, and attitudes from each viewer.
